"MASA life: a solution for the design and development of intelligent agents"
The aim of artificial intelligence is to propose solutions to solve complex problems in order to help humans in their tasks. So, artificial intelligence concerns different domains such as language and image processing, information retrieval, robotics or automated reasoning. The presentation focuses on AI to design agents able to perceive and interact with their environment including others agents and humans, act and think rationally to solve a given set of tasks. MASA Life provides a set of tools for the modeling and the development of intelligent agents-based system. After a brief introduction to artificial intelligence, the key concepts of the solution will be presented. During this talk, the concepts related to the "intelligent agent" paradigm will be introduced, focusing on the principle of knowledge representation, fundamental for the agent behaviors' expression. In addition, reasoning and decision-making mechanisms will be presented, as well as those of perception and action selection, respectively the input and output of a decision graph. This talk will be illustrated though concrete examples from MASA Life's application domains.
